Directions to Abbey Veterinary Group
The surgery is on the Left hand side of main A4 road coming into Reading from the east (one way road), a couple of hundred yards before the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
From almost anywhere except the Wokingham direction (see below), you will need to get onto either the A4 heading west (it's in a one-way system) directly or more likely via the M4 motorway. To get to the A4 from the M4,you need to come off at junction 10 and follow the signs for A 329(M) for Reading east.
You follow this along approximately 3 miles until you see a slip road turn-off for Reading A4, which you take. This brings you down to a roundabout where you take the first exit (Reading A4). Following this (keep in the left hand lane) through a couple of sets of traffic lights. You come to a diagonal crossroads (Cemetary junction), where you are going straight across (staying in the left hand lane), following signs for the hospital (staying on the A4, in the left hand lane).
The surgery is located on this road (London Road A4) a few hundred yards down (through 2 sets of traffic lights) on the Left. The second set of lights is at Alexandra Road on the left; past these you go past one more road (Denmark Road) off to the left, and Abbey Vet group is the house after the corner BUPA building.
There is a sign (Abbey Veterinary Group) in the driveway, and parking is available there.
[If you miss the house, turn left at the next traffic lights (into Craven road then Erleigh Road), follow this round bearing left, and take the first left into Denmark Road - this brings you back down onto the A4 London Road]
From Wokingham follow the A329 towards Reading. This brings you up to Cemetary junction from a different angle, but you're doing the same thing - bear left onto the A4.
