HerpVet Information Services

HerpVet Information Services exists to provide company-independent information on all aspects of reptile and amphibian care. This information covers any and all aspects, from introductory information for beginners or prospective keepers to in-depth discussions of specific topics and from comparisons of the advantages and disadvantages of specific accessories and foodstuffs to providing factual information on such over-hyped topics as Salmonella in reptiles. As mentioned, this information will be fully independent of any other companies - I do not have any financial interest in any company (unless you include from my veterinary practice) producing products for the herpetological hobby.

Such information is, I feel, desperately needed in a hobby where there is such a lot of bad or incomplete information around. In my experience in exotic animal veterinary work, the vast majority of cases that I see or receive enquiries about are related to poor husbandry and management of the animals.

This information will be made available primarily in the form of publications, mainly various booklets and information sheets.

HerpVet Information Services will also run courses on various aspects of herptile keeping.
